About Celine

Celine Leonard graduated with a Licenciate in Acupuncture from the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Leamington Spa, England in 1987. She had been in continuous practice since that time.

She completed her first post graduate training in 1990, combining Five Element Acupuncture and TCM. She qualified as a Chinese Medical Herbalist in 1995. Although this training means that she can treat many varied conditions, she has specialised in treating Gynaecological conditions such as Endometriosis since the mid 1990’s.

In 2002 she began working in the Merrion Fertility Clinic, Dublin, using Acupuncture in the treatment of Women undergoing Assisted Reproductive Technology. Her main practice is in No 5, Lower Mount Street, Dublin 2 , where she runs an Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Clinic with a colleague.

She is past Chair of the Irish Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine and founding Chair of the National Herbal Council. She was Herbal Representative in the National Working Group, set up by the Department of Health and Children to advise on the regulation of Complementary Practitioners.

She lectures in Gynaecology and ART to students and practitioners of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine and is External Examiner to the Herbal Training Course at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine.

She is presently completing a further Post Graduate Training in TCM and Gynaecology, specialising in the most current training in combining Western and Traditional Chinese methodologies. and is collaborating in writing a book on Chinese Medicine and Infertility with colleagues in Switzerland.
